BRA members are warmly invited to attend the launch of a new electronic resource on the history of the prison. The resource contains details of nearly 850 local prisons, lock ups, convict prisons and convict hulks that existed in 19th century England, together with a list of all the surviving archives identified within local record offices and The National Archives. The launch will take place on 6 July 2018 at the National Justice Museum in Nottingham. The event is free to attend, but places are limited; please see the programme below for details of how to book, or download it here: prison_history_programme_pdf
