The B.R.A. runs an Annual Conference and a programme of seminars or Training Days throughout the year. All these are intended both for those who care for and those who use historical records. They introduce a wide variety of sources, or tackle current issues in archives.

The BRA conference 2010 will take place at the Freemasons' Hall, Great Queen Street, London, WC2B 5AZ, on Tuesday the 7th December 2010.

The Maurice Bond Memorial Lecture will be given by Frank Prochaska who has published widely on this area:
