Review by Matthew Abel I was privileged to be awarded the free place at this year’s British Records Association (BRA) conference, Distilling the Archives: The Records of the Drinks Industry in the UK, held in London on 5 October. I am not a BRA member and this was my first time attending a BRA event, but the theme appealed to me as I am writing a history of the former Ind Coope brewery in Romford, East London - the town where I grew up and where I had my first experience of heritage work in the local museum which now occupies part of the old brewery site.
